Cancer is not something that was lost on Christina O'Connor.  Chris founded Giving Hope Cancer Kits after being diagnosed with cancer herself, and in memory of her dear friend Leanne Aschwanden who had passed of cancer.  Chris wanted to do something to help others.  She knew what treatments did to a person, and wanted to make that pain and discomfort easier for anyone she could.  Chris started Giving Hope Cancer Kits with her own money, purchasing supplies to put kits together to pass out to those starting their own cancer journeys.  She slowly grew Giving Hope to what it is today by collecting donations and fundraising.  In 2021, Chris worked tirelessly to make Giving Hope a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

In 2024, when Chris was unable to continue her work on Giving Hope, CalCo Giveback Pack stepped in to continue her dream.  Autumn & Michelle have both had experiences with cancer in their lives.  Leanne was Autumns mom, and Michelle's husband was diagnosed at age 24.

We are blessed that Chris' family is trusting us with Giving Hope Cancer Kits.  We aim to make her proud, and honor her in every way possible.
